I thought the note was a joke, I mean really? Artemis? My mom?! I tucked the note away in my pocket and I started running. I stopped when some person hit me Who are you?" this girl asked. "My name is Annie," I said. "What's your name?" I asked, "Misty. What are you doing here?" "I ran away," I said , looking away. "Wait so did I!" She looked like she became suddenly aware of something. "Did you get a note? Before you ran away? And were you in an orphanage?" My eyes grew wide as I realized the same thing as Misty. "Are we... sisters?" I stood up and wiped off the mud on my pants, 'How.. How in the heck can you be my sister?” I was shocked, really shocked Misty looked at me in shock too “I don't really know” Misty said, I Picked up my things and started walking again “Hey! Were are you going?” Misty ran up beside me and started walking with me “I'm continuing my journey, Misty looked at me kinda funny “journey? Sounds fun!” I guess she thought that she was going to come too “You can come if you want, I don't mind having someone to talk to,” I smiled at Misty and I guess she took it as an invite.... We came to a little circle in the forest, I put my stuff down and mutter something in Greek, Then when I opened my eyes, Poof! A ice tent appeared. I crawled inside and I heard Misty “hey! Are you just going to leave me out here?!” I Sighed and poked my head out the flap “if your my sister then you must have some power of drawing or something” when I said that Misty's eyes opened wide and she turned away, I sighed and went back in my tent.. I heard something and Poked my head out again. A tent, A real tent was right next mine, I didn't really care so I retreated back inside and hoped that nothing else would happen.... And boy was I wrong...
I had just gotten married to Artemis, a goddess. I know it's not normal or even possible, but I did know she was a goddess because she told me on our first date. She asked me if I still wanted to date her, and she told me that if I didn't want to then she would erase my memory about her. I told her I did.
It had been about 2 centuries sense we got married, she kept me young if you want to know. I hadn't seen her for that long so I went to pay her a visit in Mount Olympus. When I got there the gods were fighting about what to do with Artemis' girls, I knew about them because she told me. When they were saying that they were still only one, I said really loud, "Why don't you let them come down to earth with me?" They started to laugh and say that I couldn't handle them and they were to powerful, but I stood there and wasn't going to give up without a fight. Zeus said that I could take them but I had to separate them, I listened and said okay. I made the long journey back and sat down on a curb. I held them in my arms and looked at them. They had Artemis' mark on their hands so I took out a potion and poured it on their hands so it disappeared. I heard a voice singing and seemed to draw me near. I set the babies down and started to walk to the song, then I heard the babies start crying and screaming. I turned around so fast that I almost fell. There was a dark thick mist and it was getting closer to them. I ran so fast that when I went through the wall of mist I tripped on the curb. I picked the triplets up and started running away from the mist. It started to rain and the wind started to pick up, it felt like running through glass. I saw an orphanage and thought that would be a safe place for Annie. I ran up the steps and knocked on the door. I heard footsteps and set Annie down, I kissed her and ran away. I asked Artemis to teleport me to another town. I closed my eyes and when I opened them I was a few feet from another orphanage. I ran up the steps put Spark down, kissed her on the cheek, and knocked on the door. I heard a little girl say, "I'll get it!" I ran off the steps and teleported to a town that I never knew of. I saw a small orphanage and I jumped up the steps, sat Misty down, and kissed her on head. I knocked on the door, ran down the steps and hid behind the railing. A woman with pink hair opened the door and picked up Misty. She said to her in a calm voice, "You're so cute, why would anyone leave you here in the rain?" She walked inside and closed the door. I turned around and saw a woman dressed in black. She said to me, "Don't worry, after I kiss you you won't remember them or anything else." I tried to run but I couldn't move. She grabbed my head and kissed me. My eyes started to fill with black mist and I fainted. I woke up in a bed somewhere and I couldn't remember anything. I saw a woman and she said, "Honey, you've been asleep all day." If I tell you anymore it will ruin the story. you will have to find the rest out for yourself... by Emma _This is a continuation of the story in the "stories other people sent me" section.
Annie's Story I grew up in the Greenville orphanage. It was a small orphanage but we managed, it was hard sometimes because we missed meals or didn't have any electricity or water. I would sit under the the apple tree out in the garden and watch the birds and feel the breeze, but I always felt cold no matter what I did, and some times I would be walking barefoot and it would feel as if I stepped on ice. I would slip and fall and the other kids would laugh at me. I just stayed in my room, that way I wouldn't get hurt. The other kids always picked on me they even gave me nicknames like Ice foot or frost over. the only time I ever left the comfort of my room was when we ate, but I would still be picked on and slip. I would go and sell the apples from the tree to the townpeople, at least they didn't make fun of me. I finally made enough money to leave the orphanage, I knew I wasn't wanted there and that I was different. I counted my supplies and this is what I had: 1 rope 1 bag of apples 1 sack of seeds (cabbage carrots berries etc.) 1 first aid kit 1 water bottle that can filter river water 1 dagger I snuck out at around 10 o'clock, I tied the rope to my bed post and hung it out the window. I jumped down and landed on the ground, I pulled the rope and it came undone ( I had read books about rope). I gathered it and put it in my backpack. As I was walking I stepped on a piece of paper. I picked it up and wiped it off. I was surprised because it said my name on it. I looked on the back and it was a letter and it read: "Annie, We have to tell you this sometime. You have the power of Ice, be wise using this power evil force's want it for them self's and will do anything for it . I am Artemis, your mother. Your father’s name I will keep secret because he is mortal. You have two sisters. Find them. I can’t tell you any more I’m sorry. -Mom” By Emma To be continued _This is a continuation of the story in the "stories other people sent me" section. Misty’s Story Part 1 Misty was about to run away. She lived in the Riverbed orphanage but somehow knew her parents were alive. She was going to find them. The workers at the orphanage would have said Misty was shy and outdoorsy, but always seemed to be the suspect when something went wrong. She was always outside by herself in the garden, reading some book or another, therefore could have been the person to steal Mrs. Rojo’s wig. She could have rigged the carpet so the next person who stepped on it fell. But no one could prove who did it. When she held her left hand up to the light- which there wasn't much of, this orphanage didn't have any electricity- you could barely make out a silver mark on the back, and whenever she took a step a small cloud of mist seemed to rise from her feet. But the weirdest thing about Misty, they all agreed, was that whatever she drew became real. When she drew a picture of a delicious meal, the same was for dinner the next night. Cook said it had mysteriously appeared outside. She drew poppies, and a patch of them suddenly grew. Misty checked her supplies, bought from the money she had saved from working for Mrs. McCaffrey for three summers. 1 pocketknife 1 compass 1 coil of rope 1 bag dried fruit 1 bag seeds- peas, carrots, corn, pretty much every seed you can think of 1 bag beef jerkey 1 bag powdered milk 1 water bottle, designed to filter river water She was ready. Now all she had to do was wait... That night she snuck out with her things wrapped carefully in a handkerchief. She crept through one of the secret paths in the garden, thinking that staying there all the time had some uses, and escaped through an alley. In her hand she clutched a note from her parents that had blown in her window just before she left, confirming her parents were alive. It said: “Misty, We have to tell you this sometime. You have the power to draw anything and it will become real. I am Artemis, your mother. Your father’s name I will keep secret because he is mortal. You have two sisters. Find them. I can’t tell you any more I’m sorry. -Mom” Misty's Story Part 2 Misty sat down on a stump to rest. She had been running all night and was dead on her feet. She had filled her water bottle with water from a stream and now she drank thirstily. Then she retreated to a secluded clearing and drew a small shelter in the mud with a stick. She closed her eyes and concentrated, and soon it shimmered in the air in front of her and she opened her eyes. Smiling, she retreated inside. Misty awoke to hear branches snapping. She quickly drew a circle of invisibility around the tent and listened. "Boss says we have to find this girl. Apparently she's a runaway from the orphanage in Bitterwater. She's special or something. He was going to adopt her before she ran off. She's a tricky one, she is. I've been watching, and it's kinda creepy. I mean, she just sits there, doodling on that pad of paper and a minute later something weird happens! I'd rather not have gotten the job of finding her, I would." The voice was rough and uneducated. "But Butch, Boss has this big bonus for the person who finds her. She's just a twelve year old girl, what could she do?" This person sounded uncaring and loud. "Be quiet!" said Butch. "Do you want to give her a warning that we're coming? Let's go over there." The voices faded. Misty crawled out of her tent and shivered. Something hadn't been quite right with those two people. She packed up her tent and put all her supplies in a pack she drew. She was going somewhere else. Misty ran until she bumped into someone. They fell down in a heap. "Who are you?" Misty asked, forgetting to be polite. "My name is Annie," the stranger said. "What's your name?" Misty answered, "Misty. What are you doing here?" "I ran away," said Annie, looking away. "Wait so did I!" Misty became suddenly aware of something. "Did you get a note? Before you ran away? And were you in an orphanage?" Annie's eyes grew wide as she realized the same thing as Misty.
